All Days » Day 7
Do you like a little drama in your days? Drama can be fun and it can also be destructive depending on the type of drama we are creating and participating. Today we create drama by awakening to the mystery in our day. What is mystery? Mystery is an unsolved problem or something that draws us into the unknown. Let's get mysterious and create some good drama!
Here are your 3 gems :
1. Alberst Einstein wrote "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead : his eyes are closed." Open to mystery today. Be curious. Can you tap into the unknown? And stand in it with delight and comfort? Share what you noticed in your day today by opening your eyes to the mystery in the Facebook Group. Where did things shift for you? What did you notice?
2. Consider a person you think you know well and see if you can explore that person as if you knew nothing about them. What questions would you ask them? How would you treat them? What do you want to know or exchange with them? What comes alive for you and for them when you approach them as a new person whom you've never met. This exercise is super interesting with someone very close to you like your parent, or sibling or partner. We often feel we "know" our family and friends in ways that can actually inhibit growth and intimacy. Open to the mystery of the person you choose to do this exercise with and see what can be revealed.
