All Days » Day 24
All things delicious and delectable on Day 24! There is a really simple way to add delight to the day and that is by practicing these 3 gems:
Have fun and be open!
1. Prayer : For most people, prayer connotes religion and GOD, and though there are elements of these concepts to prayer, let's consider for today that prayer is a RELATIONSHIP of love and care between your Self and an Other. Consider prayers throughout your day. Giving thanks and dedication to each moment as often as you can remember. Taking as many pauses to "pray" as you can and be thankful. Start to develop this feeling of communion between your Self and other people as well as other circumstances or situations. The mental stance of prayer is one of anticipation. There is a "me" and an "other" and there is a longing for these two to come into presence together. There is a calling forward and an appeal between the heart and the beloved. It is truly a magical practice.
Here are some examples of prayers that are connective and divine and not necessarily religious:
"Let me be a vehicle for positive change."
"I am the light. I am the light. I belong to the world in Love."
"I feel the good of all Sentient Beings."
Please share your prayers in the Facebook Group. And also any experiences that arise in your prayer practice.
2. Mudras : These are hand gestures used in yoga practice, meditation and healing purposes. Mudra translates as "attitude" or "symbolic gesture". There are many mudras associated with yoga that are meant to effect the subtle, energetic body. The subtle, energetic body is that body that feels and senses and stirs and flows like water and wind. There are areas on the hand that have been identified to correspond to specific areas of the body and brain. These areas also represent different emotions or behaviors. Mudra can be another form of expression and prayer.
This one is a favorite of mine. Bhairava and Bhairavi Mudra meaning fierce gesture of Shiva and Shakti. Shiva and Shakti represent the male and female elements of the subtle body. The right side of the body is associated with the male element, or Shiva. And the left side of our body is associated with the female element, or Shakti. When the right hand is placed on top it cultivates the Shiva aspect of male energy: power, focus, purpose. When the left hand is placed on top, the Shakti aspect of female energy is cultivated: expansive, subtle and soft. You can choose which elements you wish to cultivate and practice this mudra during the day. Use it in connection with the prayers that you make throughout the day and notice the subtle shifts of energy within your body.

3. I am addicted to chia seeds and feel so delighted and grateful for this addiction because chia seeds are amazing for you! To read more about the benefits of chia seeds and there superfood components, click here. Here is a delicious superfood pudding recipe and it's super food easy!
Chia Seed Pudding
Blend in a blender: 12 oz of organic coconut milk 3/4 teaspoon organic ground cinnamon 1/2 cup shredded organic coconut pinch of Himalayan pink sea salt Pour into a bowl and then add: 1/2 cup of Chia Goodness Chia Goodness is the name of a chia food gluten-free raw product that is a blend of chia seeds, buckwheat, and hemp seeds. You can use this or just plain chia seeds work, too. |
Let the mixture sit for a couple of hours or overnight. It will continually thicken the longer it sits, so adding more almond milk or coconut milk will make it more or less liquid. You will figure out what works best for your taste.
Add for more flavor: chopped dates, walnuts or cashews, dried blueberries or cranberries or raisins, fresh mango or strawberries. You get the picture.
