All Days » Day 20
Ahhhhhh after a day of purification it is now time for pleasure, for enjoyment of the senses and to rejoice in this gift from the Universe of our human desire for pleasure. Pleasure is pleasurable. And today, focus on what feels good to you in all ways. Let's get juicy today and spice things up!
Here are your 3 Gems :
1. Enjoy Your Higher Self with "The Mirror Exercise". Look at yourself in the mirror and speak to your self in loving ways. Tell yourself beautiful, bountiful and blissful blessings. Speak to your self with pleasure in your eyes and a sweetness in your voice, as if you were speaking to a lover. This is a great practice worthy of practicing everyday. Start now. At first, it may feel strange because we are not really taught to love ourselves in this way. Honor your beauty and power and talent and speak to yourself with words of grace and bounty!

2. Our sexuality is a huge part of accessing pleasure in our lives. Pleasure is the physical sensations that make us feel good. Find new ways of touching your partner (or your Self, whether you have a partner or not). Yes, you know what I am saying. Find feathers, fruits, ice cubes, massage oils, toys, objects d' intrigue to open your fantasy pleasure door. One of my favorite places in New York City where I go to stimulate my pleasure fantasy is Kiki de Montparnasse. Find your pleasure place and enjoy it!
If you dare, share your pleasure place and preference in the Facebook Group.
3. Our pleasures are beautiful and romantic and can be quite fulfilling, but they do not last. It's a bittersweet love affair because pleasure is amazing and, yet, it is momentary. And so, to create more contentment and lasting satisfaction, you must understand the quest for happiness. You are responsible for your own happiness. You make the choice to be happy or not be happy. Happiness is a commitment. Enjoy all that is pleasurable and be aware of your pleasures. They are meant to feel good. But they are fleeting. The love making ends. The dinner is eaten. The movie is over. The clothes wear out. Happiness, on the other hand, is deeper, and meaningful and long-lasting.
Martin Seligman, founder of the Positive Psychology movement, considers that "happiness is an important, if not the most important, aim of human endeavor." He labeled a movement called Positive Psychology to define the scientific study of happiness. He describes happiness as being based on three lives: the pleasurable life, the engaged life and the meaningful life. He feels that the better each of these lives are lived, the happier the person will be. To cultivate the engaged and meaningful life, consider the following:

Bonus: Explore different ways of awakening pleasure through stimulating all the senses: touch, sound, sight, smell and taste. Here are some ideas to explore: wear fabrics and clothes today that are extraordinarily pleasurable. For example, for me, my fabric of pleasurable choice is always cashmere in Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. Listen to sounds that radiate pleasure for you whether that is reggae, rap or classical. Whatever is pleasing to your ears, plug in and fly! Watch things that are pleasurable and create your space in a way that is optimally pleasing. So, if you need to organize, clean and tidy up the place, do it! Today is the day. Get clear and look around at what is nice to see: art, photographs, visuals that please you. Wear your favorite scent or oil that stimulates and tantalizes you. Feed yourself your most pleasurable foods. And, do not worry about the calories if what you love is fattening or out of your limitations in some way. When we think, speak, feel, and act with the intention of love and compassion, our cellular structure is "fed" information in a beautiful way. Trust the process of enjoying your pleasures without denial or regret or worry. And be happy!
~ big big shizzling hug to You!
