All Days » Day 19
Sacred means special.  There is no hiding in sacred but there is the desire to keep special things special.  And that is sacredness.  When something is a secret, there is most likely a value or moral that is being compromised.  Keeping things private, or sacred, is a choice.  Be free of secrets.  They will bind you.  But be mindful of sacredness.  It keeps things special.

Here are your 3 Gems :

1.  Your body is a sacred temple.  Treat it with great care.  Today make all your appointments for optimum body care.  Get your body care team dialed in!  Over the next 6 months, schedule as many of the following as fits your budget:  dentist, gynecologist, colonic therapist, massage therapist, acupuncturist , nutritionist, yoga teacher private or classes, Reiki practitioner, facialist, chiropractor, etc.  You get the picture.  Your body requires maintenance and care so that it will serve you well for a very long time.  You are sacred.

2.  The mind is also a sacred space and the mind needs to be brushed just like our teeth to cleanse.  There is a beautiful mantra for purification called the 100 Syllable Vajrasattva Mantra.  Vajrasattva means Indestructible Purity or Diamond Purity.  The Vajrasattva practice is a practice for purifying the mind, past actions, karma, and negative emotions and thoughts.  We have negative karma due to the fact that we are simply not yet enlightened.  So, we need to meditate and practice.  The aim is to become more compassionate.  And Vajrasattva makes the mind pure and peaceful.

The short form of the mantra is simply Om Vajrasattva Hum, which you repeat 28 times.

The longer form of the mantra and the translations (taken from Wikipedia) are as follows:

ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ས་མ་ཡ་མ་ནུ་པ་ལ་ཡ།
བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཏྭེ་ནོ་པ་ཏིཥྛ།

O Vajrasattva honour the agreement!
Reveal yourself as the vajra-being!
Be steadfast for me!
Be very pleased for me!
Be fully nourishing for me!
Be passionate for me!
Grant me all success and attainment!
And in all actions make my mind more lucid!
hūṃ
ha ha ha ha hoḥ
O Blessed One, vajra of all those in that state, don't abandon me!
O being of the great contract be a vajra-bearer!
āḥ

(The most excellent exclamation of praise)

Vajrasattva’s Samaya: O Vajrasattva, protect the Samaya
May you remain firm in me
Grant me complete satisfaction
Grow within me (increase the positive within me)
Be loving towards me
Grant me all the siddhis
Show me all the karmas (activities)
Make my mind good, virtuous and auspicious!
(The heart essence, seed syllable of Vajrasattva)
(Symbolises the four immeasurables, the four
empowerments, the four joys, and the four kayas)
(The exclamation of joy at this accomplishment)
O blessed one, who embodies all the Vajra Tathagatas
Do not abandon me
Grant me the realization of the Vajra Nature
O great Samayasattva
Make me one with you

Repeat this mantra in it's Sanskrit version as best you can 21 times or more.
Cleanse your mind with these words and free yourself of the old debris!
Here is the audio version of this mantra so you can speak it or listen to it.
